  1. Well Dang-a-lang it JD !! I thought having a comic shop and every book contained within at yr disposal. I really thought you read the book as soon as it hit yr door. Sorry man. I was thinking Phoenix too after reading the reveal in Jean Grey #6. I hate spoilers so sorry man. A great show with some great books covered this week Always great to have to have the band back together for a show.

Just thought I’d I chime in with the series I used to read through thick and thin: Justice League. I started reading around 1982 (read a ton of crap) and finally kicked the habit- not because of a story, but because of how DC fired Dwayne Mcduffie.

While Dwayne was writing the JLA, he mentioned on DC’s message board that editorial decisions were messing with his plots mid-story (they take a character away or make him change a motivation to match another comics’ story). As I was a frequent visitor of the boards, I know he never said anything negative about DC or those decisions (just one of those things). And because of that, they fired him. Total BS IMHO, and DC lost my loyalty at that point. Now I only buy what I like, which aint much.

Keep up the good work in these dark times!

Aw that’s ok man! Lol it happens 😉

  4. JD (Host) says:

Shit, he was fired just for telling it like it is? that sucks! When I was growing up I don’t think I really paid attention to the behind the scenes “politics” of comic creators. I just read Wizard lol
