I would love to say that convergence is Dometastic, but I can’t its really bad, A bunch more issues tomorrow, I am guessing the same quality, and storyline, ooh look we are in a dome, living there for the last few months.

Cool finally getting to hear Masked Man, always nice to put a voice to the words I’ve been reading for years. D/C Warner Bros needs one of these movies to be a hit, not money wise, but popular opinion wise. Marvel did it with RDJ and Iron Man, it was like wow comic book movies can be fun and entertaining to us nerds and the world as a whole. Their movies have variety, Thor-Fantasy, Cap-War/Espionage/Politics, Iron Man-RDJ doing anything, GOTG-Sci Fi, Avengers-team Movies, etc etc etc. They built a strong base that they can build off of for years to come, and they have built trust with their audience that their products are worth your money.

D/C just hasn’t done that yet, I mean they have one movie to their name so far and I’m not going to hate on Man of Steel too much, it was ok, but not that AH HA movie that I think they need. They have a long way to go to get the trust that I have with Marvel. I will give D/C some time here, but if their stuff keeps looking like a dull gray Suckerpunchy looking world where everyone is brooding and mopey then God help us

I don’t think we need another Miller Batman, I loved the first one, the second one took 8 months for 3 issue to come out, so I didnt finish it for even longer, as I needed to go back and read 1 and 2 to understand what Miller was doing in the 3 issue. I think DC is in trouble with the whole movie universe, but especially Batman vs Superman, trailer was below par, these are the two best known comic book characters ever. They are going to be in a movie together for the very first time. A 30 second glimpse of the Death Star from the Rogue One teaser gets 3x more buzz then your actual Batman vs Superman trailer, and the better DC reveal is Jared Leto as the Joker for the Suicide Squad movie. Someone pointed out that its likely Harley’s handwriting on Jokers head saying “Damaged”, which makes it more interesting, I’m eager to see what the rest of the squad looks like, though I am really worried about deadshot in the movie.

You can say CONVERGENCE is Dometastic, because that implies terribleness.

Wait, do you like domes? You jewish or a Tina Turner fetishist? Then I guess the term turns a tide. For me, domes are limiting and confining like this stupid fucking biosphere we are all trapped on.

    DOME DOME DOME DOME DOME

So this is a note to Bug. Sometimes movies I haven’t really liked, have such awesome endings that it makes the whole thing worthwhile. Unbreakable comes to mind. That is how I felt about the conclusion to Jungle Book: Call of the Wild. It moved me, like the first storyline did. It was outstanding!!! So big props to you. If I have any complaint, Mowgli’s tits are too big. I know she’s growing up but really… and I am no boob hater, Power Girl is a character I love, except when she loses her boob window.

Regarding Convergence, it’s finally starting to get a little momentum, issue 4 is the best one so far. And the side issues have gotten better as well. For example, I rather enjoyed Infinity Inc, which I never did before. And the Question, which I always loved. I have liked most of them after the horrible first batch. But they are pretty repetitious with all the Dome-opening stuff. And it’s al just junk food, a fun quick fix but nothing substantial.

Have more than two issues of Piroettte come out? That’s all I have gotten so far.

  7. Roland says:

Homer on a whim a picked up the last issue of Jungle Book for shits and giggles and Bug, and I had the same thoughts. I was like shit i forgot Bug could actually write!(kidding) Good endings are the hardest thing to accomplish in my opinion and that one was bloody and visceral, those damn animals fucked the humans up.

    Impressive, Most Impressive.

  8. JD (Host) says:

Oh it’s DEFINITELY DOME-Tastic. Dome is bad, ya’ll. I am so done with Convergence..I guess we’ll have to read the end to find out what happens and discuss it on the show, but uggghhh I DONEWANNNNAAAAA….

@Homer Pirouette will be coming out in Trade next..the other issues didn’t make it to print due to scheduling concerns, I think? I’m really looking forward to that.

@Tigger that DK2 STILL hurts me. I can’t remember a time in my comic book collecting life that I was as let down as I was by that book.

  9. AmbushBug says:

Thanks so much, Homer and Roland. So glad you enjoyed the ending, which has been in my mind for about three years now. It really means a lot that you guys enjoyed it as it was one of the hardest ending I had to write.

Pirouette is having a few kinks worked out, but I promise as soon as I know, all of you will know when it is available.

  10. AmbushBug says:

About Mowglii’s boobs. I’ve always given the description to artists that Mowglii has a more athletic build as she spends 90% of her time running through the jungle. The artists kind of went their own way with it, but alas, it was out of may control.
