So Ambush Bug and Optimus Douche have allllll the answers on how to fix the comic book industry huh? How about implementing some of these changes instead of ranting into the void? Or is it that they’re “The biggest f****** schmucks on the planet earth” as stated mid rant. Yea, the plan is to make massive amounts of money in TV and film because the comic industry is chump change compared to that kind of revenue. Don’t buy Secret Wars. Don’t buy the Finch’s Wonder Woman. Buy things you believe have creative merit like She-Hulk, Daredevil, Hawkeye and forget about the rest of it. Battleworld is for the 12 year old Ambush Bugs and Optimus Douche’s who’ve never seen kewl fights before.

Also, Wally Wood is behind the Power Girl bust, not Bart Sears. That’s comics 101

We have been creating comic ideas for years. I called geoff as C-suite two years before he went in. Also said they needed a reboot after FINAL CRISIS.

    You’re welcome.

  3. Matt Adler says:

I don’t know how to fix the comics industry, but my sense is that isn’t really on Marvel or DC’s radar; I think they are both more focused on the short-term risk to their own survival that being a publishing business in a modern media conglomerate represents. Publishing everywhere is a prime target for the axe, particularly when you’re talking about characters that might be more profitably licensed to, say, IDW. In that light, it’s understandable why they keep jacking up prices and pursuing stunts that spike sales month to month. You can’t pursue a long term strategy when you’re just trying to outrun the executioner.
