I have an idea, JD.
You owed me THREE review requests before I stopped listening to the podcast a few shows back. I have a way you can cash them all in at once. Xbox has a feature which enables you to watch movies with friends. A row of theatre seats appears at the bottom of the screen, and everyone’s avatars show up and sit down (ala MST3K). Then you just watch the movie together, while talking over your headsets. I propose a bunch of us do this together, with Babes In Toyland. While drinking. It could be memorably amusing.
Do that, and you’re paid in full. Because digging through that sex comic to find one of those answers was frikkin’ horrible.

No, it wasn’t because of the requests. It was something said on the show that left me staggered and speechless, followed by a “joke”, that nearly made me throw my lap top through the nearest window. It wasn’t a matter of ‘bad taste’ or ‘personal taste’; it cut to a fundamental problem I think exists, but no longer have energy to grapple with.
I’m pretty sure I mentioned the Thanos Copter the first time I was on the show. Thanks for digging up those pictures, because somebody might have thought I made it up. Hell, I wouldn’t have believed me.

Love your podcast but the rant about Marvel just seems unnecessary. There are so many good books from Marvel like Hawkeye, Daredevil, Wolverine and the X-men, Ultimate comics Spider-man, Secret Avengers e.t.c that the rant just seemed odd. I listen to your podcasts to get away from fanboys going through existential crisis who constantly feel victimized by every little change in the comics. DC has its own fair share of dreck in between their good stuff, so the whole “DC is good, Marvel is bad” is exactly the sentiment that keeps me away from the on-line community.
Anyways, to each their own. Keep up the good work guys!

If I can be allowed a hyperbolic fan-girl comment, HAWKEYE IS THE GREATEST. COMIC. EVER.
I was delighted by the first issue, and thought for sure that it was a fluke / flash in the pan. Then issue 2 came out and was just as good, if not better. And now issue 3 was THE BEST ONE YET. Never have I fallen so hard, so fast for a character I knew nothing about before. And Clint Barton is just as cool also.
Seriously, to anyone who hasn’t read it yet. Give it a flip. It’s pretty much teh awsumz.

yeah I agree that the rant against Marvel was a little out of character for the fellas, lol..even I was taken a-back, but not everyone is a Bendis apologist like I am. I think the Starlord stuff in AvAss struck a certain chord.
If you noticed in the past, we’ve been doing the same pretty consistently RE: Geoff Johns and his Justice League run, so it’s not a case of Marvel over DC or visa versa. But every so often even the most balanced fanboy has to rant, lol!
@Pink, that’s a pretty good idea, I’ll have to look into it..it would definitely have to be recorded..

I’m going to be buying a Roxio shortly (there’s an video game / vlog idea I want to try). When I do, if it works with my antiquated computer (that’s iffy), I could capture it on my end and send it to you.
It’ll all just depend on how well it’ll work with my older VIAO.

Moving onto this weeks books; AvX Babies > AvX. Thoughts? Agree or disagree? AvX Babies reminded me of a Pixar short and found it a funny and engaging little romp.

I wasn’t able to read any of AvX due to a prevailing weather forecast of unusually heavy indifference. However one of the covers online to AvX babies very nearly gave me a cutegasm. When I went to my LCS, they didn’t have any : ( .
At another place I check out, they had a copy of something called ‘Bravest Warriors’, issue 1, by someone called Kaboom / Cartoon Hangover. It was FREAKIN’ HILARIOUS.
