violent video games, bullying and teenage angst. being a better man and not seeking revenge. Well said, JD.

Thank you sir! There’s so many of us who had shitty childhoods and took beatings from peers and family and we still rise above it. It’s such a cop-out to use these things as excuses

Not to sidebar this review too much, but everything in the news seems to indicate that this isn’t a “victim” fighting back or even a criminal mastermind. This appears to be simply a giant baby, who threw a horrifying tantrum the first time things didn’t go his way in Life.

The inability to cope with setbacks combined with the feeling that the whole world should hurt because he’s uncomfortable is disgusting and the quicker the rest of us can forget this dirtbag’s name, the better.

I can only hope that DC finds a way to sue him for calling himself The Joker and then gives the judgement money to a victims’ fund…

I found this to be a very odd review. The bulk of the time was spent nitpicking plot and logistic issues that just about every blockbuster film has. If you went this route with Amazing Spider-Man, you would’ve had to break up the podcast into two episodes. And then to just say but it was really good at the end baffled me. It sure didn’t sound like you had a lot of fun in the theater. I would’ve liked to have heard more discussion about the movies themes, the score, Bale’s performance as a broken Bruce Wayne, how the movie works as a whole, how it works as the end to the trilogy, where future movies could go, ect.

@Grim: I have yet to read much about this jackhole calling himself Joker, I keep meaning to look more into it, but haven’t had an opportunity.

@Andy: You are absolutely correct, the way you feel about this review is how I feel about the film itself. I walked out of the theater and said “I….don’t know how I feel about that..”

I still haven’t seen the film a second time, but I plan to. I think what you heard was less a review on my part, and more a discussion trying to piece together my feelings as a whole. I know that I enjoyed it for the most part, but had some troubles with a few glaring problems.
